Alex and I at the Taylor Swift Concert on Sept. 26th. It was the best concert I have ever been to. Gloriana and Kelli Pickler were her opening acts and they did a great job. Taylor Swift rocked the house. Al thinks she is the finest girl in the world!!! HA!

My little brother just left for basic

Well, DJ is boarding a plane as I right this post. He is off to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina for his Army basic training for 3 months. I am so proud of him for making the decision he has made to join the army. At first, I was mad but I completely stand behind his decision 100%. I pray that the Lord will give him the strength needed and will keep him safe. His graduation is sometime mid October and I can't wait to see him. I miss him so much and am counting down the days until I can see him again.

Here is Libby and Jason. Libby gave Jason some new gloves for his birthday, which was July 7th. She also got him the "Thanks for always playing with me Daddy, you are the best" birthday card.

These are Libby's new doggie steps. We recently bought a new sectional and it was harder for her to jump up on the couch than it had been when we had our older couch. It took her a while to figure out what they were there for but she runs up and down them all the time now.

It's been a while since I wrote because it has been hectic. We finally got our A/C fixed. We ordered a new washer yesterday and should get it Saturday. I sure am ready for things to start settling down. Jason is loving his new boat. Speaking of boats, we need to sell his old one so if you know of anyone interested, let me know. I am definitely ready for this weekend. We don't have anything planned and I love that!

Crazy Week

It has been a crazy week. On the 12th, our house breaker box was struck by lightning and caused our A/C to quit working, along with our washer, tv, and garage door. The home insurance will take care of everything that was damaged from the storm, so that is a blessing. When the A/C guy came out, he got the inside unit to start kicking on but it's just the fan, not cold air. I called him back and he said we needed some coils replaced and that wasn't damaged from storm so homeowner's insuranace wouldn't cover it. So now, I have called out home warranty, which expried JUNE 24th, and informed them that our air is blowing, just not cold. Our house is cooler than when we didn't have anything blowing inside but it still isn't right. They can not come out until Tuesday. I am SO ready for all of this to get fixed and for things to get back to normal. It is only going to be 99 next Tuesday, so that would make it about 85 in our house, and that is with the A/C (really just fan) running non-stop. WHOOP DEE DO!

Jason bought a new boat. It is a bass cat. He and his Dad are going to pick it up Saturday. He is super excited and I am excited for him. We are selling his boat now. The deal was that we were to sell his boat first THEN we would look for him another boat, but YEAH RIGHT like that ever works that way. He found one online that he just had to have and was a too good to be true boat. I do have to agree that it was nice and priced great so I gave in and went ahead and said go get it. All I asked for to agreeing to this was a new dishwasher because the one we have now is awful. I will get some pics of the new boat posted once he brings it home Saturday. We have also bought a new sectional and I'm so excited about it. I will post a picture of it as well. We go pick it up today!

Took Libby to the vet yesterday and she has allergies :(
I'm going to have to go buy baby wipes and wipe her down when she comes in from outside. The vet also said to get some Vitamin E tablets and put it in her food. I really hope that helps because I hate seeing her scratch herself and sneeze all the time, even though the sneezing is cute.

This is sweet little Libby. She doesn't like wearing her bows but she kept this one in long enough so I could snap a picture. Her daddy doesn't like it when I put them in her hair either so I don't do it that often, but I couldn't resist this day.
